Selection Centre Manager
The Selection Centre Manager will possess a high level of building product and procedural knowledge, and use this knowledge to negotiate with suppliers, communicate with trade partners and field staff, evaluate the scope of projects, integrate information into a design layout, resolve issues, and drive sales.
Job Description:
• Direct and manage all a facets of the Selection Centre including; estimation bidding, contracting, budgeting, pricing, product selection, training and staffing.
• Interact with suppliers to negotiate pricing.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors and suppliers to ensure samples and displays are current.
• Track the frequency of sales, and profit margin performance of all standard and non-standard options.
• Ensure accurate and timely communication from the Selection Centre to Field Managers, Subcontractors, Vendors and others to ensure job changes meet schedules.
• Manage pricing requests, quotations and maintaining customer service excellence through to delivery and supply of product.
Requirements:
• University Degree/College Diploma or 3-5 years management experience in the building supply industry.
• Knowledge of new home construction and product installation essential.
• 3-5 year experience in estimating.
• Ability to analyze and understand the implications of changes to plans.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite of products
• Highly organized and ability to meet deadlines while providing high-quality work.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
